Capacity Building
Central core competency; building technical/institutional capacity of staff, CBOs, healthcare workers, and volunteers. WADO invests in: Our Staff (ongoing professional development, training, knowledge sharing); Community-Based Organizations (technical assistance, mentorship, resources); Healthcare Workers (specialized training on substance use disorders, harm reduction, mental health integration); Local Volunteers and Community Leaders (prevention, identification, referral skills); and Families and Caregivers (counselling, education, support group facilitation).
